AI engines & model choice

Domain engines for legal, HR, operations, strategy and risk, compliance engines for real-time audit, sovereignty and ABAC, the choice between commercial models (Claude, OpenAI, Gemini) and dedicated models, and why dedicated models help.

Engines

  • Legal engine: Contract review, clause comparison against the playbook, regulatory change tracking, legal research with citations.
  • HR engine: HR policy answers, onboarding journeys, job descriptions, learning recommendations.
  • Operations engine: Case handling, exception resolution, run-book execution, process-mining insights.
  • Strategy & management engine: Board and executive briefs, scenario analysis, OKR and portfolio insights from the rBMS.
  • Real-time audit engine: An agent on the log stream (agent logs, tool calls, HITL actions, system events) plus deterministic alert rules; detects control breaches and illicit activity, summarises and links the evidence.
  • Sovereignty compliance: A compliance control set, not a trained model: where data, models and keys live. An agent checks configurations against the sovereignty and residency policy, records conformity evidence and reports gaps.
  • ABAC policy engine: Access is decided by a deterministic policy engine (OPA / Cedar / XACML), never by a model. AI only helps write and verify policies; a human approves every change.
  • Risk engine: Risk identification from incidents and changes, control mapping, KRI commentary, risk-register drafting.

Advantages of dedicated models

  • Built on your history: Adapters learn from years of approved decisions, cases and deliverables, not from the open internet.
  • Curated, polished data: Only validated, de-identified, current sources; lineage recorded; outdated practice removed.
  • Institutional culture: House terminology, tone of voice, values and policies in EN and FR, checked by a culture-alignment rubric.
  • Follows your processes: Steps, approvals and gates of your own procedures; the agent knows which step comes next and who decides.
  • Pre-validation of deliverables: Checks drafts against templates, checklists, policies and past review comments before a human sees them.
  • Document writing support: Drafts charters, DPIAs, gate packs, reports and replies in the house format, with sources.
  • Consistency and memory: Same question, same answer across teams and years; knowledge does not leave with people.
  • Sovereignty and predictability: Runs in your zone, versions change only when you decide, cost stable at volume.
